Tenderloin

Tenderloin
The Tenderloin is an often-overlooked neighborhood found between the Civic Center and Union Square. Sheltered by Nob Hill, the community is home to Little Saigon, which creates one of the most diverse destinations in the city. During the 20th century, creatives, artists, and musicians flocked to the community, and because of this interest, music venues and theaters are now plentiful in the area.

This funky neighborhood is full of unique places to live. These include small, multi-unit properties and condominiums. Single-family homes are also available if you look in the right place, and regardless of where you live, you’ll enjoy Sgt. Macaulay Park, the Street Theater Festival, and other recreational gems. Be sure to grab some Asian cuisine and stop at a locally-owned shop while you’re in the area.
