Originally one of San Francisco’s “Seven Hills,” Telegraph Hill is a scenic, residential area. It is known for Coit Tower and the historic Filbert Steps – 400 stairs that lead you to the tower. Many visitors travel to Telegraph Hill to visit this site and also enjoy the flowing gardens that start at Filbert Street and lead to Levi’s Plaza. The community is also home to a unique feature – its flock of feral parrots, which descended from escaped or released birds. 
 
Telegraph Hill offers many options in terms of housing. Impressive Victorian architecture is found along narrow streets, and multi-unit properties are also available. You don’t need a car, as the neighborhood is walkable and offers ample public transportation. Whether you are an artist, a college student, a dog lover, or a family with kids, you’ll find a place in Telegraph Hill.
