Oceanview is one of the most accessible neighborhoods in all of San Francisco, but despite its name, you won’t catch even a glimpse of the Pacific from here. Conveniently located near the I-280 freeway and Highway 1, it is easy to commute into other parts of the city from Oceanview. Public transportation is available, and many of the neighborhood’s small shops and restaurants are found within walking distance. Oceanview is home to an interesting assortment of homes. There are several Victorian and Edwardian properties that still stand from the 1800s. More recently, row-houses and multi-unit properties have become more popular. Interesting earthquake cottages, which housed refugees of the 1906 earthquake, are also still available, providing many unique housing opportunities in this charming neighborhood.
