Lone Mountain
Lone Mountain is a quaint, historic neighborhood that is best known as the home to the University of San Francisco campus. Many homes are occupied by USF students and faculty, so the neighborhood is sometimes referred to as “University Terrace.” The community is bordered by Anza Vista, Laurel Heights, Inner Richmond, and NOPA, and is known for its large hill, aptly known as Lone Mountain.
 
This charming community may not have as many homes for the area compared to other San Francisco neighborhoods. The single-family house found here were most commonly constructed in the 1920s and 1940s. While there aren’t any major commercial areas in Lone Mountain, shopping centers are located nearby at Geary @ Masonic. You’ll love the sense of community you experience as a resident of Lone Mountain.
